Butera and HFI Brands Introduce Line In High Point

Interior design icon Barclay Butera will be introducing a collection of furnishings under his new brand, appropriately named  Barclay Butera Lifestyle at this upcoming High Point Market spring 2010. 

Cutting edge manufacturer HFI Brands has partnered with Butera to bring the industry what the team fondly calls "aspirational designs at an attainable price point" pieces that will surely enhance Butera's current presence with retailers.

Targeting mid-luxury markets, this extensive line will allow Butera to open up distribution to better department and specialty retailers around the country. 

Paving the way to incorporate his signature luxury look into a "high-low" mix for retail customers and design clients alike, Butera and HFI Brands have taken great strides to offer spectacularly beautiful high end furnishings to the customer with exceptional taste that is spending a bit wiser and more conservatively these days.  "Even our most affluent and discerning clients are looking for high style and great value," notes Butera.  "We've been manufacturing luxury furnishings since 1998 and have always wanted to explore this territory with our price points and broader product offerings. When we met with Steve McKee and HFI we knew we had finally found the right partner for the venture."

Known for his Hollywood glam rat-pack appeal, Barclay has come out swinging with over 250 ++ skus of furnishings for his first debut.  The Barclay Butera Lifestyle brand follows the genre that is outlined in Butera's first coffee table book Living In Style (Assouline) introduced in the fall of 2008. 

Drawing inspiration from his lifestyle design categories Town, Country, City, Modern Beach, and Plantation, the collection will offer complete suites for all areas of living.

Materials from high gloss lacquers, to rich rosewood finishes, mingle with bleached white-washed woods and beyond; with an incredible diversity of design.   And to add even more elegance and classic Butera merchandising, all of the Lifestyle furnishings will be enhanced by Barclay's sumptuous carpets and textiles for Kravet.

For industry veteran Steve McKee's part, the genius of the collaboration was crystal clear. "When we decided to launch HFI Brands, the first person that came to mind immediately was Barclay Butera," McKee said. "This guy is a rising star within the world of design, and with his high energy and flawless taste we knew he'd deliver designs that would set the industry on fire."

Retailers are invited to visit 14,000 square foot lifestyle space in historic Market Square, showroom 330. Once there, they can the Blue Cafe for a quick respite, relax, and refreshment. There will also be an evening event on Sunday, April 18th from 5:00-8:00 PM.  Barclay will be there to meet and greet.

And Barclay's couture line of furnishings, the new sensual St. Tropez Collection will be seen in all its glory in a new permanent space, right on the first floor aisle, of the International Home Furnishings Center space # IH400 in Interhall . This spring's new offerings will be highlighted by zingy tangerine hues mixed with Butera's signature navy and icy-blue combinations. Also on show will be the new Barclay Butera for Hearst Castle Collection pillows and a follow up collection (200++ skus) of art on the heels of his wildly successful launch with Wendover Art Group last fall. And as if Butera has not been busy enough, stay tuned for a spectacular collection of sisal carpets with Merida Meridian and gorgeous lighting with Bradburn Lighting Gallery to come yet in 2010.
