Berkline, a leading home furnishings manufacturer specializing in reclining chairs, sofas, and home theater seating, announced that it will highlight a unique line of modular motion furniture called Neat Seats at Spring High Point Market (April 17-22).
Able to be rearranged to form entirely different seating configurations, Neat Seats are sold as components so that entire sections, or seats, can be adjusted to suit a room. A single seat can stand alone or be connected to arms to take on the appearance of a standard recliner, while two or three Neat Seats can be easily placed side by side to create a sofa or loveseat, with or without arms on the end.
Additional arms can also be added in between individual seats to form a home theater design including optional wedge arms that form a curved home theater configuration.
“We’re introducing Neat Seats to our customers as a product that provides an equal level of comfort, quality, and aesthetic appeal, but also has a practical nature that is simply unmatched in the market,” said Bo Morrison, director of sales and merchandising, recliners and home theater at Berkline. “It’s a truly innovative and unique product that we believe represents a new direction for motion furniture.”
With three different style choices, Neat Seats are also available in all of the company’s fabric and color options. Style #70111 features bucket-style seating specially designed to cradle the body for added support. Style #70112 has continuous pillow-section seats and Style #70113 has plush biscuit-tufted seating for extra comfort.
“All three styles feature Berkline’s ChaiseLoungerâ for head-to-toe support as well as pads on the arms that slide back to reveal hidden cupholders,” commented Morrison. “Additionally, seats are available as rocker or Wallaway recliners – and when pieces are combined, a hidden d-ring release between the arm and chair allows seats to recline.”
Flexibility for Families
“We consider Neat Seats to be Entertainment Seating rather than Home Theater Seating and believe they’ll be especially appealing to young families – because as they grow they can add to their existing Neat Seats – as well as urban dwellers who have limited space and want a more contemporary style,” said Morrison.
A two-seat sofa can be expanded to a three-seat sofa simply by adding another single armless recliner or a four-seat home theater design by adding two armless recliners with arms or wedge arms.
For special occasions or events when extra space in a room might be needed, Neat Seats can also be easily rearranged, removed or stored in another room to suit the situation.
