Rachel Ashwell will present “Staying True to Your Brand While Evolving in Today’s Market,” on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 12:00 PM in the IHFC’s International Ballroom.
For more than 20 years, the name Rachel Ashwell has been synonymous with Shabby Chic®. The Shabby Chic brand - based on the aesthetics of beauty, comfort and function - marries great design with casual ease. Rachel is a self-made businesswoman who founded the iconic Shabby Chic brand in 1989. Her vision and love of vintage style and flea-market finds quickly expanded and hit a chord with her customers who have found her comfortable and relaxed approach to design both reassuring and achievable.
Today Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture® flagship stores are located in Santa Monica, California; Soho, New York; and London, England. She has educated and inspired fans through a series of six books. In addition, Rachel has been featured in top national home and lifestyle publications and hosted the TV series “Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic” on the Style Network and E! for four years.
Rachel will be at High Point for the launch of the Shabby Chic® collection, a new line of licensed home furnishings products that blend English elegance with California casual to capture the unique and eclectic aesthetic made famous by the designer. The collection will include both signature home furnishings pieces and fabric prints as well as original introductions that will span a range of price points. It will debut at the Miles Talbott showroom located at 1690 English Road, IHFC’s Interhall, Space 202, as well as at the Guildmaster showroom located in the C&D building,1A.
