Effective immediately Continents Apart, LLC,
known as "The first national rep group specializing in drop shipping for home, gift and garden products" announced that it will assume exclusive representation of the Leisure Solutions (LS) branded product line by Canadian Product Designer and Manufacturer Tradeworks Group,Ltd.. Previously Leisure Solutions’ in-house sales team marketed and sold to eCommerce, Catalog and TV Home Shopping accounts. The Leisure Solutions in-house team will continue selling to bricks and mortar accounts. No layoffs will occur as a result of the refocused sales effort.
Tradeworks President Stuart Flaumenbaum states, "We realized in the third quarter last year that we were missing out on opportunities with eCommerce and catalogue retailers. After conferring with our executive committee and consultants we determined this was because it was simply not part of our core competencies. This move will result in our in-house sales team focusing on traditional bricks and mortar business, and leaving the rest to experts.
Mr. Flaumenbaum went on to say, "After we determined the root of the problem we went about an exhaustive search for a representative organization to take over this channel. They really wanted strong guarantees from us to safeguard the service level that their customers will receive. They also were very helpful in streamlining the process to speed up shipping times from 3 weeks to two business days and revamping packaging to protect the products".
