This was the largest N.I.W.A.show in its 11 year history, helped by an interest among furniture retailer to buy American made furniture from factories that specialize in making quality solid wood products
The N.I.W.A. (Northern Indiana Woodcrafters Association) reported that its latest successful expo was held in April 2010, just following the High Point Market.
This was the largest N.I.W.A. show in its 11 year history, helped by an interest among furniture retailer to buy American-made furniture from factories that specialize in making quality solid wood products.
An N.I.W.A. spokesperson said, "Retailers who attended the show the expo immediately realized that N.I.W.A. means business, with over 100,000 square feet of furniture in one building. Walking thru the expo at this past show they saw dining sets, sofas, bedroom suites, office furniture, outdoor furniture, occasional sets, home décor, and many other furniture pieces. Each of the 80 exhibitors brought new products, and builders were in their booths ready to answer questions. Each deal is sealed with a handshake. That’s how the N.I.W.A. members do things. This show isn’t like other shows; the builders sell their own product, giving them the opportunity to get to know their customers' specific needs, how the products will be displayed in stores and what retail customers expect. They care!"
About N.I.W.A. Members: N.I.W.A member/manufacturers are expected to build high quality pieces of furniture and they stand behind their products. Each piece of furniture is handcrafted of solid wood to last a lifetime. It’s built in Northern Indiana and delivered to retailer across North America.
