IHFC announced that several furniture companies announced today that they are opening new High Point showrooms in the IHFC for the Fall Market, October 16-21, 2010.

Newcomer Gary George Design manufactures high-style, contemporary upholstery and is making its first trip to High Point this October.  Choosing the IHFC's Design Center space D702 to debut its line, the company expects to see the key contemporary buyers, in large part because of the IHFC’s high concentration of contemporary brands located in the Design Center.  “High-end and Contemporary buyers come to High Point because High Point has what they are looking for,” said the company’s Gary Buxbaum.

"There really is no better place to be for companies like ours than the IHFC," added Mike Saifer of Lind Furniture, Canada.   The company, manufacturers of sofas, loungers, recliners and chairs, has shown elsewhere in High Point.  This October they anticipate high traffic in their new showroom on the fifth floor of the Hamilton Wing, space H517.

Former owners of Ultimate Accents, Gail and Ray Steele, and their new company, Gail’s Accents, will feature an eclectic collection of hand-painted tables, consoles, chest, curios and more.  "We couldn’t be happier to be in the IHFC, where know we will see so many of our customers and friends."  The showroom is in the Hamilton Wing of the IHFC, showroom H744.

Opening two new showrooms at the IHFC, Designer Wicker and Rattan by Tribor will show their unique indoor wicker, rattan and wood furniture, and their outdoor wicker, porch wicker, and accessories in the Green and Wrenn Wings, showrooms G482 and W254.

Opening in 1921, IHFC was the original showroom building in High Point and after 89 years of expansion remains the centerpiece of the world’s largest home-furnishings trade show that attracts more than 80,000 participants twice a year to 2,000 showrooms covering 11.5 million square feet. IHFC alone is home to 500 of the leading home-furnishings manufacturers, including 13 of the top 20 companies, and covers 3.5 million square feet.
