Media wall system to be introduces in High Point.
Having done business together for over 30 years, Manny Better and Donald Eisen announced that they have joined to form Better Home Designs. Combining the expertise of both, Manny has over 30 years as President in production and wholesale furniture sales and Donald has 25 years as a high-end furniture retail merchandiser, 6 years as executive Vice President of a major wholesale distributor and 8 years as President of a rep group.
All products will be made in China; all wood, no resin, with hand rubbed designer finishes, finished backs, dovetail drawer construction and self-closing drawer glides. The company maintains on-site quality control staff to oversee all aspects of production from receipt of order to shipment. “We have spent almost 2 years developing and testing product and packaging specifications to make sure our suppliers can produce to our highest standards,” noted Donald Eisen. "Our pricing will be an excellent so the dealer can make the highest margin possible. We are looking to limit the number of accounts we sell so that can enjoy the benefits of exclusive distribution without competition from websites."
Better Home Designs will debut the line at the High Point Market this October at SHOWPLACE in space 2118. The initial offering will include: complete media wall systems, theatre/cinema cabinets, ladder bookcase walls, and executive home office. "Unlike other imports our quality will be the best possible in American market designs," said Mr. Eisen. 'We want our products to be sophisticated and appealing. We can also do single order total custom work as well as make exclusive designs for customers.
"Another main goal we have" he continued, "is to be pro-retailer and pro-rep. In a time when companies have fired reps and cut commissions we are offering top earnings and will only hire reps that will make the commitment to work with limited distribution and give sales meetings and store service to grow the business. We are not looking to sell everyone. At first we will offer containers only. There will be no 'House' accounts.
“I am an ex-retailer. Manny and I understand the needs of the retailer. We will not sell the discount stores. We have target customers that we want to build a relationship with. For the first time we can make commitments that we know will be followed. Better Home Designs will not be the biggest. Our goal is to be the best!”
