The "plot" of the TV spot is based on the life of the commercial's central character who works at a mattress testing facility. Working with mattresses on a daily basis has cultivated the character into a mattress authority. The character underscores the company's strategy to represent the consensus of experts who support BackCare's construction. After working hours, the character is shown opting to sleep on his mattress of preference - the Simmons BackCare mattress, which provides comfort and support head to toe and top to bottom while maintaining the spine's proper alignment. With the help of the Simmons-created "zone-a-tron" machine, the character demonstrates the mattress's patented five-zoned construction and how the design parallels the human body. Simmons created an equally unique tagline to represent the brand -"Five Zones For Your Bones" - that will be prominently merchandised throughout in-store materials. Since the brand's inception more than two years ago, BackCare has enjoyed explosive growth and pervasive success from retailers and consumers coast to coast.
