Furniture First announced that this October, the buying cooperative will be showcasing its revamped private label mattress lineup in their High Point showroom on the seventh floor of the Radio Building at 164 S. Main Street. Members who attended the group’s symposium in Greensboro last month previewed the lineup and responded enthusiastically. Jonathan Gaspari, Director of Mattresses at Furniture First, said “Our members are extremely excited about the new opportunity that they’ll have with this new line of bedding.” Serta worked with Members of the Furniture First Mattress Committee and Board of Directors over the course of four months to develop and perfect the 23 bed assortment. Gaspari further commented “I have never seen such a buzz about commodity bedding, but with the new margins associated with this line, I can see why.”
The revamped lineup provides Furniture First Members with larger mattress profiles, luxurious covers with rich upscale looks and deep substantial feels. The mattresses will retail with easy step-ups, better margins and lower prices. One innovation in the lineup is designed for retailers with limited space: dual firmness sample options.
Furniture First has maintained a 4,000 square foot showroom occupying the entire seventh floor of the Radio Building since 1996. The space serves as more than just a product showcase; Furniture First offers its Members a business resource center with computers, printers, copier and fax machine. A meeting room allows Furniture First to hold committee meetings, focus groups and presentations, and Members often gather for peer-to-peer networking over refreshments. Retailers who are considering joining the buying group can stop by and meet with the organization’s President, Bill Hartman, in person and learn more about the advantages that Furniture First brings to full-line independent furniture retailers doing over two million in volume.
Furniture First is a full line home furnishings and mattresses only buying cooperative representing 180 independent home furnishings retailers from medium-low to medium-high end quality products across the United States.
