"Nichols and Stone is the ideal partner to execute the WILLIAMSBURG Pure Simple Today furniture collection," said Kris Fischer, director of licensing for the Colonial Williamsburg
Foundation. "T hey have a long-standing tradition of high-quality handcrafted manufacturing, as well as tremendous relationships with furniture retailers throughout the country."
Historically, the WILLIAMSBURG brand has addressed the more formal rooms of the home with licensed collections of exquisite 18th -century reproduction furnishings. The WILLIAMSBURG Pure Simple Today Collection by Nichols and Stone will offer consumers casual, traditionally inspired pieces for the rooms of the home where family activities happen -- from the Sitting room to the kitchen. According to Fischer, "There is broad inspiration for less formal looks directly interpreted from handcrafted 18th-century furniture. The WILLIAMSBURG Pure Simple Today collection will reflect this inspiration in well proportioned, well made furniture that offers excellent quality and a sense of style for today's consumer."
As the oldest furniture manufacturer still in operation in America, Nichols and Stone has built its success on a heritage of fine furniture making and craftsmanship that spans eight generations. The company's current collections include American Casual, traditional, and American and European country designs, which combine solid wood construction, and unique stain and paint finishes to create unmistakable Nichols and Stone quality and style.
