Toray International America, makers of the Ultrasuede® brand of products for upholstery and a host of other applications, announced the lauch of its website with B2B support features for the brand’s diverse customer base, including upholstery manufacturers and interior designers.
Among the site’s new features is the Ultrasuede® B2B Center, where memo swatches may now be ordered to streamline the request and fulfillment process.
Additionally, furniture consumers visiting the new Ultrasuede® website will be directed to websites of upholstery manufacturers which offer Ultrasuede® covers on their products.
Ultrasuede® Ambiance is the original ultramicrofiber upholstery cover with high performance features and benefits. It is among the EcoDesign™ line of products from Ultrasuede® that is made using Toray’s recycling technology.
Ultrasuede® was selected as the cover of choice for Project UDesign, a Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) student furniture design competition launched this year to create the next generation sustainable wing chair. The winning chair design will be produced and sold by Century Furniture in early 2011. Project UDesign was initiated by Cargill BiOH® polyols, the competition’s main sponsor. Ultrasuede® will feature the finalist student designs in a special exhibit at ITMA’s biannual Showtime event, Dec. 5 – 8.
