Rizzy Home announced that it is celebrating the season of giving by making donations to free health care programs in Gopiganj, India, the village where Rizzy makes it’s corporate headquarters.
Rizwan Ansari, chief executive officer of Rizzy Home, along with the entire Ansari family, recently sponsored a Mobility Health Fair which focused on disabled people who need assistance to improve mobility.
Over 100 assistive devices were provided at no charge. People were evaluated by medical personnel and fitted with devices, including crutches, walkers, hearing aids, wheelchairs, hand operated tricycles, and walking sticks for the blind.
Earlier this year, Rizzy Home hosted an eye clinic at the same facility providing free eye exams and follow-up treatment for over 500 people. Treatments ranged from surgery to corrective eyewear. The free health care programs are part of ongoing human services that Rizzy provides in India.
The Ansari family has also built a school for girls and a hospital in the community. Rizzy Home, headquartered in Calhoun, GA, is Rizzy's US corporate entity. Rizwan Ansari and brother Shamsu Ansari are owners of Rizzy Home.
