In an unprecedented move for a high-end upholstered furniture manufacturer, Dallas, Texas-based R.Jones & Associates, Inc., is introducing The R.Jones Promise, a new marketing program designed to deliver finely tailored custom upholstered furniture to the trade in just four weeks.
The introduction of The R.Jones Promise coincides with the opening of a new, dedicated showroom at 301 North Hamilton Street, Suite 200 (entrance on Fred Alexander and corner of Wrenn). The company, which has catered to interior designers and exclusive retailers for the past two decades, has heretofore shown during Furniture Market in the Arthur Brett & Sons showroom in the Hamilton Wren District.
"It seems that quick delivery is a given in the promotional and middle ends of the market today, yet it's virtually unheard of at the high end," notes Rob Jones, company president. "Just like everyone else, the wealthy have been impacted by the current economic conditions and our research shows that when these consumers do choose to spend, they crave instant gratification as much as anyone. They want to experience the emotional lift that doing something wonderful for their home provides. As one recently said, 'There's no reason it should take as long to build a sofa as it does to build a house.' Consumers don't want to wait four to six months for their furniture to be delivered, but lengthy lead times have long been the hallmark of the upper end."
To ensure that the R.Jones Promise is not empty, Jones and partner, vice president Bryan Campbell, have made significant changes in the way that the product is built, investing heavily over the past three years in state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Their unique ability to combine CNC routing tools, CAD-CAM design and three-dimensional modeling with highly skilled craftspeople using the finest materials available results in flawless designs literally "Made to Amaze." And, the modern methodology of construction enables the company to produce any product in the collection in just four weeks.
"Even before we made the decision to marry technology with traditional craftsmanship, we always used the best materials in creating our furniture, which still features traditional, eight-way hand-tied coil springs individually set on a woven, poly-propylene webbing base, and fine hand-tailoring," Jones describes. "Lift up a dressmaker skirt, for example, and you'll find mitered inside corners, drapery linings, chain weights and hand stitching. Now we're simply far more efficient. Our exacting engineering standards allow our quality people, and their truly skilled hands, to do quality work all day long."
