Sligh Furniture announced that it has raised the bar with the debut of its Northport home office and home entertainment collection at the Las Vegas Market.
The collection's clean, uncluttered silhouettes create a relaxed and relatable collection for the home office or even in a business setting. And, it has all of the unsurpassed functionality Sligh is known for.
Northport is crafted from cherry veneers and alder solids with a touch of exotic crotch mahogany, producing a subtle two-tone effect. The pieces are lightly distressed with a sable finish, reminiscent of prized heirloom furniture. Northport is also available in Sligh’s unique Color Options program, meaning that purchasers can customize this collection with a choice of nine colors and five specialty treatments.
Three desk choices allow consumers to customize their office to fit their needs. The 165NP-411 is a 48” Chippendale beauty with graceful ball and claw feet and an exquisite serpentine top. There are two storage drawers on each side, as well as a center drawer. The 60” 165NP-410 table desk has spindle turned legs and the slightest hint of crotch mahogany inlays on its expansive top. This desk has plenty of work space, whether you’re working on your laptop or spreading out files and documents as well as a center drawer for storage. And last, but certainly not least is the powerhouse of the collection, the 72” 165NP-400 pedestal desk. The serpentine top features a three-piece leather insert with tooling details and crotch mahogany accents. Each side has three drawers, two box and one letter/legal file drawer, providing plenty of storage and organization options.
Northport includes an 82” tall bookcase (165NP-645) with a graceful arch and flush side framing, allowing it to be grouped with other bookcases to form a wall unit. Other complementary pieces include a credenza (165NP-430), deck (165NP-440) and filing cabinet (165NP-450) rounding out the home office offerings.
Home entertainment has evolved by leaps and bounds with high-def TVs, video on-demand, surround sound, and even 3-D DVDs, turning “movie night” into an experience worthy of a grand movie theater – all in the comfort of your own home. Sligh’s home entertainment pieces include an expansive, 74” wide TV console (165NP-640) with flat-framed ends and a deck (165NP-641) that can go on top.
