White Lotus Home, a domestic manufacturer of natural and organic bedding products, announced that Debra Lynn Dadd, hailed as “The Queen of Green” by the New York Times, will be presenting the keynote speech during the White Lotus Home 30th Anniversary Organic Expo on Saturday, April 9, 2011 in Highland Park, NJ. Dadd’s presentation is one of many eco conscience educational and creative events that White Lotus Home will be hosting during its 30th Anniversary - a weekend-long Earth festival running from April 8th to April 10th.
“We are thrilled to welcome Debra to our 30th Anniversary celebration; she has inspired our company throughout the years and the organic community is truly grateful to have such a powerful figure educating others,” commented Marlon Pando, president and owner of White Lotus Home.
Dadd has been a pioneering consumer advocate since 1982, specializing in products and lifestyle choices that are safer for human health and the environment. Today, Dadd is considered a leading authority on eliminating toxic chemicals in the home; having published a number of books on the topic, including: Home Safe Home: Creating a Healthy Home Environment by Reducing Exposure to Toxic Household Products, Sustaining the Earth and The Nontoxic Home.
Debra Lynn Dadd chose to participate in White Lotus Home’s 30th Anniversary celebration because she is a fan of their handcrafted in America, organic products. Ms. Dadd has blogged about White Lotus Home products over the years.
During the 30th Anniversary Weekend Festival, White Lotus Home will also be hosting “Earth Hands: Hands Across Highland Park” –the formation of a human chain starting from the White Lotus Home storefront in Highland Park, NJ down Raritan Avenue towards New Brunswick. The event will take place on Friday, April 8, 2011 around rush hour (4:00pm – 6:00pm) and the first 200 participants who register will receive a free T-shirt. Participants may sign up for the event at www.whitelotus.net or by sending an email to: handsacrossHP@whitelotus.net.
“Our goal during the Anniversary celebration is to inspire awareness and appreciation for the earth’s natural environment – a major principle that White Lotus Home has practiced since its formation,” notes Marlon Pando, president and owner of White Lotus Home.
