Gus* Design Group, the Canadian modern furniture design and manufacturing company, announced that it will debut its new Atwood Series amid anticipation generated from sneak peeks which were posted to the company Facebook page starting in February. The Atwood Sectional, Sofa and Chair will launch at the High Point Furniture Market during the first week of April.
“Our customers are passionate about original, modern design”, said Jonathan Isaak, Marketing Manager at Gus*. “They want to stay in tune with what designs are on the horizon – to see if they can spot the next design classic. After we posted an image of the new Atwood Sectional, we immediately began to receive calls and emails from consumers, wondering when it would be available in stores.”
The Atwood Sectional (MSRP $3199USD) is sleek and clean-lined like the rest of the Gus* Modern in-stock Collection, but offers a slightly more tailored and sophisticated feel. It features a blind-tufted seat, back, and arms, all with piping details. The tapered wood legs are walnut finish, a first in the collection. Along with all other Gus* upholstery, the Atwood Series is made with FSC-Certified wood in support of responsible forest management. In addition to the sectional, the Atwood is also available as a chair (MSRP $1499USD) or sofa (MSRP $1999USD).
Gus* will add to its successful LOFT Series by expanding the line to include new condo-scaled upholstery frames and a counter-height dining table. At a compact 75” wide, the new Carmichael Loft Sofa (MSRP $1999USD) is perfectly suited for condos, apartments, and spaces where every square foot counts. The Carmichael fuses traditional and contemporary sensibilities, bringing clean lines to a classic style. It features solid Ash legs and all wood is FSC-Certified. The versatile Niagara Counter Table (MSRP $1449USD) is the first dining design in the LOFT Series, and pairs nicely with Gus* Modern counter stools. It has a more compact footprint than typical dining tables, and is intended to fit more easily into modern condominium layouts, where dining areas are typically tight. At 36” high, this table is perfectly suited for use as a workstation when it isn’t being used for dining. The Niagara has a stainless steel base, and an exposed ply top, available in Walnut or Natural Oak finish.
The Stanley Console Table (MSRP $499USD) provides a simple and elegant solution for keeping important items organized and at hand. It features a solid, FSC-Certified Ash surface, which has a rectangular recess to hold keys, mail, and other small objects. The legs are stainless steel, and the table mounts to the wall invisibly.
The new Annex Storage Series from Gus* Modern combines warm walnut and cool stainless steel to create three functional, modern storage pieces. The Annex Series features integrated, recessed handles for a clean, minimal look. The Media Stand (MSRP $1695USD) and Cabinet (MSRP $1695USD) have self-closing drawers. The Annex Credenza (MSRP $1695USD) rounds out the series.
This spring, Gus* Modern is introducing graphic pillows to its accessories collection (MSRP $60 - $95USD). The first series is called the Chemistry Set, and features colorful prints inspired by vintage science graphics. The images are screened with non-toxic inks onto washable, organic-cotton cases. The inserts use down and feather fill.
Gus* will be debuting these new designs at the High Point Furniture Market in North Carolina from April 2 to 7. The Gus* Modern furniture collection is designed in Canada, and is sold at over 150 furniture retailers across North America, including 12 Gus* Studio boutiques.
