Furniture Hall of Fame Honors Don Belgrad

The American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation honored former president Don Belgrad for his years of service to the organization during the bi-annual Board of Directors meeting.
 
“Don has an amazing and demonstrated ability to bring many views together and to make things happen which, only he can do because he is so highly respected and liked by all who know him,” said Jeff Cook, Foundation president. “For the Hall of Fame, Don gave selflessly of his time to serve not just one term but two terms as President.”
 
Under his leadership, Don:

• Conducted a strategic planning session that will impact the Hall of Fame for many years
• Launched the publication of the oral histories
• Enabled the Foundation to create its own website
• Pushed for researching and writing the first comprehensive history of the furniture industry
• Substantially increased membership
• Substantially expanded sponsorships
