Profit Management Promotions (PMP), one of the nation's leading furniture sales promotion, liquidation and consulting companies, has hired Bruce Ketcham as a regional sales manager. Ketcham, a 25-year industry veteran, will focus on expanding the firm's services in the southeast United States - where PMP recently opened a Wilmington, North Carolina, office.
Ketcham has held a number of senior management positions with prominent home furnishings manufacturers. He has also managed his own retail businesses and an advisory services firm. Notably, he has experience in designing strategic partnership programs for retailers designed to improve market share and brand awareness in their trading area.
Prior to joining PMP, Ketcham was the national vice president of sales and marketing for French Heritage. He also held executive level positions with Century Furniture Industries and Hickory White - where his leadership efforts helped generate a 42 percent increase in annual sales. Ketcham was also affiliated with such manufacturers as Hickory Chair and the Simmons Company.
"Our decision to hire a professional of Bruce's caliber supports our strategic growth plan, as well as the needs of our customers throughout the Southeast," said Michael J. Egan, president and founder of Profit Management Promotions.
Ron Cooper, PMP's national director of sales and marketing, added, "We're extremely pleased to have Bruce join the PMP team. His experience in all aspects of sales, marketing, account management and business planning will be invaluable as we manage our growing list of regional assignments in the near term, and as we broaden our national service offerings over the long term."
PMP has recently launched a series of sales promotions projects in Atlanta and South Florida, and it expects to sign on several more clients in the region this month. The firm's expansion plan also calls for hiring additional project managers to staff current and upcoming assignments for high-impact sales.
Profit Management Promotions specializes in conducting high-impact sales for furniture retailers. The firm's projects include traditional going-out-of-business (GOB) sales, but an increasing number of assignments are focused on retail restructurings. The company has a proven track record in conducting high-impact sales promotions that help furniture retailers raise capital or liquidate under-performing stores. PMP also delivers a range of consulting and marketing services designed to help furniture retailers optimize profitability and capitalize on given growth opportunities.
Established in 1985, Profit Management Promotions is headquartered in Jamison, PA, and maintains regional offices in New York and New Jersey - in addition to its new North Carolina location.
