SCFMA Changes Casual Market To Four Days

The Summer and Casual Furniture Manufacturers Association has dropped Sunday hours from the International Casual Furniture and Accessories Market in Chicago. This year’s show will run from Wednesday, Sept. 10, through Saturday, Sept. 13, with the Apollo Awards banquet on Saturday night as the culmination of the show. Previously, the show continued on Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. “Last September, we surveyed the temporary exhibitors and found that they favored a four-day show, from Wednesday through Saturday,” said Joseph P. Logan, executive director of the SCFMA. “The permanent exhibitors also supported the shorter market, so the board elected to implement the change beginning this year.”
