Gold Bond Mattress said it is giving independent sleep shops a head start to carrying the latest in advanced comfort technologies with the addition of its newest collection – the Cool Response Gel featuring the next generation of gel foam.
Part of Gold Bond’s EcoSense line of eco-friendly, USA-made mattresses, Cool Response Gel is positioned to deliver the luxurious, shape-conforming, cooling feel of gel with the “Gold Bond value” for which the company is known. It features enhanced specifications over competing gel products at the same price point, and greater value through its thicker construction, higher gel content and use of quality fabrics.
“Independent retailers would typically not see new foam technologies trickle down to the value segment until at least two or three years later. Together with our partner VyMaC, we have been more aggressive developing this offering to bring it our customers sooner, satisfying their needs while helping to open the market for the next generation of gel beds,” said Gold Bond President Robert Naboicheck.
While the industry has recently seen an influx of new gel products, Gold Bond’s introduction was designed to serve independent retailers who rely on product differentiation, among other benefits, to compete with larger retailers.

This latest addition to the five-model EcoSense lineup offers a unique open-cell gel foam construction that blends the comfort properties of gel with the support and resiliency of latex. It features a new polymer that has been designed to be cooler, more durable, and to circulate airflow more quickly, helping to increase blood flow and oxygen around the body and remove body heat quicker than other foams.
The covering is also domestically produced and features a soft and breathable stretch knit with a three-dimensional design woven into the pattern. Accented by its teal coloring, it delivers comfort and durability in a sleek modern design.
“The Cool Response Gel is a perfect complement to our existing line of Made-in-America EcoSense mattresses,” said Naboicheck.
The line offers three models ranging in price from $1,099 to $1,499 in queen. The nine-inch Azure features a three-inch layer of gel foam followed by supportive AcellaFlex foam. The Cobalt and Sapphire models offer 11- and 13-inch profiles, respectively, and provide added support layers consisting of memory foam and transitional foam. All models offer three inches of gel in the top layer and six inches of AcellaFlex foam in the support layer.
