A High Point introduction from Cambridge Mills

After a quiet launch two Markets ago, solid wood bedroom manufacturer Cambridge Mills announced it will show in a much larger space with a new showroom at the IHFC.  Their new showroom is in the Green Wing, G582.

"We launched the company at the October 2010 Market in a small space on North Hamilton Street," said Michael Scarsella, Director of Marketing and Sales. "Moving to the IHFC puts us in the heart of Market.  By showing in the IHFC, we expect to see many more buyers that we hadn’t seen before.  As a young company we want to position ourselves to make it easy for retail partners to find us.  We have a lot that distinguishes us from other manufacturers."

One distinction, Scarsella explained, is that Cambridge Mills is 100% American made from certified sustainable, solid Adirondack Cherry harvested in upstate New York. "We also are in partnership with Harden Furniture. Their 160-year history lies at the foundation of Cambridge Mills.  Our products are manufactured in their 500,000 square foot facility."

Scarsella said that the company's approach to retail partnerships also separates it from other companies operating in the bedroom category. "We believe in developing long term relationships with our retail partners to deliver sustained growth and profitability for all involved. We do this through limited distribution, partner programs, great looking product, and pricing that is in line with the demands of today’s consumer."

Filling their new, bigger space won't be a problem. "We are introducing two new collections this fall," Scarsella revealed. "Cherry Creek is a soft contemporary design in solid Adirondack Cherry featuring movement to the cases, exquisite leather pulls, and some great looking beds.  Scottsdale is our second introduction and is our first break from Cherry, executed in White Oak; it's contemporary with a hint of Asian and MacIntosh influences."

This fast-growing company will also showcase the rest of its line, Scarsella said, "since the new IHFC showroom is more than double the space of our old showroom.”  The entire line will be on display during the High Point Market.
