Hickory at Home, the consumer products retail division of Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company, recently held three ribbon cuttings to launch the opening of the new Panama Jack Convertibles Collection™ Galleries at Americas Mattress in Roxboro, NC and Suzy’s Furniture in St. Mary’s, PA and Garden City Furniture Center in Garden City, SC. The galleries are retail showcases for a new branded line of high-quality retail futons and frames developed by Hickory at Home.
The Suzy’s Furniture ribbon cutting was conducted by several members of the store’s management and staff, along with Niles Cornelius, General Manager, Hickory at Home.
“The Panama Jack Convertibles Collection™ Gallery represents the relaxation and freedom of a tropical lifestyle that brings you closer to nature," explained Cornelius. “Hickory at Home’s luxuriously and leisurely designed futon mattresses and frames further enhance Panama Jack’s identification with a more comfortable, more natural lifestyle.”
Eddie Alala, Jr., Southeast Territory Manager for Hickory At Home, was on hand at the America’s Mattress ribbon cutting along with store principals Brian Cole, Adam Cole, and America’s Mattress Owner Larry Cole.
“The Panama Jack brand is the perfect fit for Hickory at Home’s line of environmentally friendly futons and frames," Alala said. “Few other furnishings embody that relaxed tropical lifestyle as beautifully as futons do.”
Ragan Smith, of Hickory At Home, was at the of Garden City Furniture Center ribbon cutting along with store owner Dianne Ray and her son Joey.
The Panama Jack Convertibles Collection™ was first launched at this past fall’s High Point Market, October 16–21, 2010. The initial launch of the collection consists of four tropical-themed futon/frame combinations, which include futon matts marketed under the Panama Jack Convertibles Collection™ label. Each futon in the Panama Jack Convertibles Collection™ is constructed from materials including Hickory Springs’ bio-based Preserve® foam, natural cotton felt, recycled steel coils, and recycled fiber. Preserve foam is the first foam to incorporate a significant percentage of non-petroleum ingredients into its traditionally all-petroleum based formula. Each futon frame and mattress in the Panama Jack Convertibles Collection™ is sold as a set.
