Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center Las Vegas, in partnership with Pantone Color Institute, the global authority on color, celebrated this year’s holiday season in colorful style. Just a week following the formal announcement of Pantone’s 2012 Color of the Year, LVDC held its special annual holiday gala celebration Dec. 19, successfully executing a first-of-its-kind Color of the Year display swathed in Tangerine Tango for the Southern Nevada and southwest regional design industry. This event marks the first time any Design Center has partnered with Pantone to execute a celebration of the highly anticipated Color of the Year in a large-scale event.

Prior to the celebration, Pantone Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman, gave a brief presentation on the fascinating process of selecting the Pantone Color of the Year (Tangerine Tango. The annual gala included tango dancers, aerialists draped from the ceiling and dancers all dressed fittingly in the 2012 Color of the Year. The event even featured signature cocktails and appetizers in the shade of the evening.
“The release of the color of the year is Pantone’s single-most significant annual announcement that generates huge and ongoing global buzz,” said Eiseman. “We were pleased to partner with Las Vegas Design Center to share the 2012 Color of the Year with the area’s regional design industry immediately following our official announcement.
