After showing as a temporary exhibitor for three markets, Hellenic Rug Imports has leased space 449-Mart 1. They will be showing 240 rugs this Market, focusing on medium to high-end retailers. "The San Francisco Market covers a large part of the West Cost and Western Canada, so we feel we can reach the customers we don't see at High Point," says Steve Mazarakis, president and CEO. "Many California mom & pop stores, which are very important to us, don't have the chance to go to High Point, so it is better for us to visit them closer to home twice a year." In September, Huppe bought a metal company in Quebec, so buyers can look for new metal beds and occasional pieces that combine metal and glass. New exhibitor Euro Style has been around the SF Furniture Market for years as an exhibitor at the Concourse, but the company decided to take a permanent space at the Mart to show their growing collection of contemporary kitchen, home office, living room, dining room and occasional furniture.
