Beginning September 26, each Drexel Heritage store will be equipped with television monitors and a special video tape featuring a montage of homes and designs from five HGT programs that Drexel Heritage sponsors, tune-in spots for the shows and Drexel Heritage ads. Seattle Gift Show® Exhibitors Donate Thousands Of Dollars In Product To Children’s Hospital Of Seattle
Children’s Hospital of Seattle received a donation of gift merchandise from many exhibiting companies at the August 18-22, 2001 Seattle Gift Show®. Companies participating at The Seattle Gift Show® had the opportunity of donating floor samples and discontinued items to the Hospital’s not-for-profit retail stores. Volunteers from Children’s Hospital were on hand to assist exhibitors with packing and removing the merchandise from their booths.
"We were impressed by the amount of uncompensated medical treatment Children’s Hospital of Seattle provides to Northwest communities—over $35 million in 2000. As the producers of the largest gift show in the region, it made complete sense for The Seattle Gift Show® to assist the retail outlets of this fine organization," stated Mike Dean, President of Western Exhibitors, LLC.
"Children’s Hospital of Seattle provides care to all children regardless of the family’s financial situation. The exhibitors at the August 18-22, 2001 Seattle Gift Show® were so generous with their donations…our volunteers were able to fill a truck! We also thank the management team of Western Exhibitors and George Little Management for allowing our organization to be the benefactor of these contributions," added Kyla L. DeRemer, Retail General Manager, Children’s Hospital of Seattle.
The management team of The Seattle Gift Show® will continue this program with Children’s Hospital of Seattle at the January 26-30, 2002 event, held at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center. Exhibitors will be sent preliminary information about the donation program and representatives from the hospital will be on-site during the show to answer any questions.
