ASFD Announces Finalists

The American Society of Furniture Designers (ASFD) announced the selection of finalists for the 2001 Pinnacle Design Achievement Awards. A total of 51 finalists were selected in 15 categories. The winners in each category will be announced at the Pinnacle Awards Ceremony on Friday evening, October 19 during the International Home Furnishing Market in High Point, N.C. The purpose of the Pinnacle awards program is to promote better design quality and encourage the recognition of furniture designers within the retail home furnishings industry.
"Both the judges and ASFD staff were pleased with the quality and number of Pinnacle entrants" said Karl D. Felperin, ASFD Pinnacle Awards Chairman. The judges stated that "this year's Pinnacle entries showed a good cross section of the industry with products representing a wide range of types, styles and price points. The entries presented contrasts in surfaces and finishes representing current trends and very impressive designs."
