Ron Wolinski Joins La-Z-Boy As Director Of Education And Retail Services

La-Z-Boy, the nation’s leading manufacturer of upholstered furniture, recently announced that Ron Wolinski has joined the company as director of education and retail services. Wolinski will create all product, sales and design related training and educational programs to increase retail effectiveness and sales. He will report directly to Ken Salm, vice president of sales.
"Ron’s knowledge and experience in sales education will be integral to the overall growth of La-Z-Boy," said Salm. "I am confident that, under Ron’s leadership, our company’s retail sales and educational development will continue to flourish."
Wolinski joins La-Z-Boy with more than 25 years of management experience in sales education, employee training and retail marketing. Most recently, Wolinski was the national director of education and development for Value City Furniture in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to Value City, Wolinski was the manager of sales education at the Simmons Company in Atlanta, Ga., where he established the Simmons Academy.
He also served as president and owner of Behavioral Dimensions, an independent consulting company for training and development, located in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Wolinski earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Detroit and has since completed several professional development programs and established three corporate universities in the home furnishings industry. A member of the American Society of Training and Development, Wolinski has had several articles on consultative selling published in Furniture World. Currently residing in Columbus with his wife Kathleen, Wolinski plans on relocating to southeast Michigan soon.
