Oriental Weavers Of America Kicks Off 2002 Safety Program

Oriental Weavers of America will kick off the 2002 year resolving to be 100% free of workplace accidents. Interdepartmental safety competitions will pit the departments against each other. Beginning January 1st, at the end of each quarter, 10 employees with zero accidents will be placed in a drawing for a $20 Walmart gift certificate. At the end of the year, all employees who have been accident free will be eligible for a grand prize drawing. The incident rating decides the prize category. Prizes include : $500 for first place; $250 for second place; $100 for third place, and $50 for fourth place. Weekly safety updates and in-house training programs are some other areas that are being emphasized.
