Old Brazil, a new furniture design and distribution company, is bringing the rich artistic heritage of Brazil to the U.S. The result: high-quality and totally unique pieces that bring personality to the home.
Based out of Miami, Old Brazil will import its hand-crafted, century-old wood furniture, as well as a wide-array of textiles including multi-colored pillows and natural fiber rugs, all representing the colorful and lively essence of Brazil.
Co-owner André Sampaio, a native of Brazil, currently owns three furniture stores in Rio de Janeiro, and has been in the furniture industry for almost 15 years. André’s amazing success with reclaimed wood furniture led to his desire to take his business overseas to the U.S. market. “As a store-owner myself”, André explains, “I understand the importance of recognizing the retailer’s needs by providing affordable, high-quality furniture, with unrivaled customer service.”
Co-owner Carolyn Maloney, from the U.S., recently obtained an International MBA from Thunderbird, and is currently living in Miami. Originally from the Southwest, Carolyn has worked and traveled throughout the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Asia. After living in Brazil for a year, Carolyn saw the enormous potential for reclaimed Brazilian wood furniture in the U.S. Together, André and Carolyn have used their artistic and industry knowledge, combined with their mutual love of traveling, to design enchanting, eye-catching furniture that is as much colorful as it is functional.
Old Brazil’s innovative and vibrant furniture and textile lines are sure to win the applause of retailers nationwide who seek original, high-quality design at an affordable price. Those that seek personality and individuality in their homes will find Old Brazil irresistible.
