The Brazilian company Cinex, the largest and most modern manufacturer of aluminum and glass doors and partitions in Latin America, has opened a plant in the United States. The company, based in Brazil's principal furniture manufacturing hub, Rio Grande do Sul, has invested US$ 600,000 in expanding its operations into the U.S. In addition to the plant opening, Cinex is also introducing a new type of glass to the furniture industry called Soft Square.
Soft Square was developed following European trends. It is a special type of glass with a geometric, transparent surface that provides both privacy and luminosity. Furthermore, Soft Square can be used in any environment, from offices to kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. The biggest benefit, however, is its price: 50% less than the competition.
According to Cinex chief executive officer Cesar Cini, Cinex America is expected to produce 25,000 doors in its first year of operation. "We've already begun selling our products to U.S. companies such as Steel Case, Herman Miller, Techline, Nucraft, Krug and Darran, and just recently signed a contract with Canac, Canada's largest kitchen manufacturer."
The range of products available in the U.S. will increase according to demand, said Cini. "The most popular items will be aluminum office doors with Acetate, Methacrylate, Argentate and Soft Square glass, kitchen cabinets and closet doors."
Cinex America is located in Kernersville, North Carolina. For more information, call (336) 993 4767 or visit our website www.cinex.com.br
