Rockaway Bedding Live on the STORIS System in 126 Stores

STORIS Management Systems has announced that Rockaway Bedding, the 4th largest bedding retailer in the United States, has gone live on the STORIS system in all 126 stores. As a result every location in four states are now entering orders directly at point-of- sale and employees have direct access to all pertinent warehouse and customer service information. In commenting on the transition from a back-office system perspective, Jeff Bonham. Director of Sales and Marketing for Rockaway Bedding indicated that. "Our salespeople now feel they have much greater control over order processing. Orders can be tracked every step of the way. ~ from the time they are written until they are delivered. This gives our salespeople greater confidence while selling, knowing that their customers will be getting the best service possible. In addition, the level of satisfaction with the STORIS system by all of our employees is very high." This New Jersey based retailer is currently running 195 users on an IBM RISC System/6000 Model F-50 single processor. Rockaway chose the STORIS system because it can organize their business data and provide quick sales analysis due to the fact that all files are immediately updated providing for real-time information. In addition. they recently implemented batch bar coding into their warehouse. With sales in excess of $100 million. Rockaway Bedding feels that the control the STORIS System provides within every single department will enable the company to run more efficiently and continue on their aggressive growth path.
