Veteran Furniture Exec B. Elliott Brennan dies on March 28, 2000 after a long illness.

On graduation from Washington and Lee in 1932, Mr. Brennan joined Macy's New York-beginning a career in the furniture field that continued for the next 60 years. His most significant achievement during that time was as President of the John B. Salterini Company in Covington, Va. Drafted in April of 1942, he proudly served his country for the next four years in the China Burma India Theater attaining the rank of Major. A life long resident of Long Island, N.Y., he retired to Lynchburg in 1992. He is survived by his loving wife, Meg L. and four sons, Peter Elliott and wife, Katie of Centerport, N.Y., Robert Owen and wife, Teresa of Lynchburg, T. Patrick and wife, Denyse of Norfolk and Christopher Sean of Lynchburg. Also surviving are several proud grandchildren, Owen Christopher, Thomas Elliott, Peter Coogan, Elliott Robert, T. Matthew, Katherine Megan and Shaun Patrick. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. A private Mass for the family will be said on Saturday at the Chapel of St. Thomas More Church. A Mass of the Resurrection and a memorial service will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church on April 29th.... Elliott's 90th birthday. In lieu of flowers, please remember the YMCA of Central Virginia, Lynchburg, Va. he loved to swim there. Whitten Park Avenue Chapel, Lynchburg, Va is serving the Brennan family.
