3D Web Tool Gives Shoppers New Experience on Furniture.com

Kaon Interactive Inc. announced that Furniture.com is using Kaon's technologies and services to allow shoppers to experience Furniture.com's products in three dimensions. It is the first time that Furniture.com, the leading online furniture retailer, has given its customers the capability to view items in 3D and manipulate furniture to assist with their purchase decisions.

The HyperActive and HyperReality Treatment: 2D to 3D Content Creation and Interaction Kaon Interactive's "Turn-Key 3D Solutions for the Web(SM)" begin with digital 2D photographs of a product or computer-aided design (CAD) models. The photos or 3D CAD models are converted to photo-realistic 3D models with Kaon Interactive's HyperReality(TM) technology. By combining HyperReality with Kaon Interactive's HyperActive(TM) technologies, applications can be customized and animated. The resulting applications are then posted to a client's Web site, Kaon Interactive's Web server, or an application service provider's (ASP) facility. Consumers can access and manipulate the 3D models within a Web browser over a standard
Internet connection.
