From June 3 to 5, 2000, the International Centre will play host to the first-ever summer edition of the Toronto International Home Furnishings Market. This new event, which will bring together a great number of Canadian manufacturers plus exhibitors from the 75 permanent showrooms at Canada's Furniture Mart, is the result of a concerted effort by the entire Canadian furniture industry.
Creating a new opportunity to do business in the summer fills a real need in the industry - and it creates ideal momentum for purchasing for the fall season. All in all, the June edition of the TIHFM is the summer furniture show in Canada .
After 28 years, the Toronto International Home Furnishings Market has established great credibility with Canadian retailers. The show offers the broadest range of home furnishings products in the country. In addition, the central location makes it a highly accessible destination for the entire Canadian and North-eastern U.S. market. All these advantages make it a must for the retail sector - and a prime business rendezvous over the years.
Today, the Toronto International Home Furnishings Market continues to expand. Over the past four years, the show has seen a steady growth curve, with nearly 40% more exhibitors and booth space. As the Canadian furniture industry continues to enjoy this period of growth, the summer edition of the show is the perfect complement to Canada's largest furniture show.
