WHFA Appoints New Officers And Board Members

New appointments to the Board of Directors of the Western Home Furnishings Association (WHFA) were announced at the Annual Membership Meeting on -January 21, 2000 -during the San Francisco Winter Furniture Market. The three new additions to the WHFA Board of Directors are Laurie Wolfe of Silverado Furniture, Napa, CA and Ron Hoesterey, Royal Mattress, Orange, CA both for 3 year terms and Greg Follett, Follett's Furniture, Lewiston, ID for a 1 year term. Laurie Wolfe looks to surpass the footsteps of her father, longtime and now retiring WHFA board member, Larry Wolfe. Ron Hoesterey is a former WHFA board member returning to the board and represents furniture manufacturers. Greg Follett is new to the board and will be heading up the 'Next Generation" conference in September 2000. Nominated to the board for a second term: Marvin Kerby, Kerby's Furniture, Mesa, AZ. Members of the WHFA Board of Directors are allowed to serve two, three-year terms. Board members who have served their terms and rotating off the board are: Al Isenberg, Alpha Design Group, San Diego, CA Ron Meadow, La Popular Furniture, Reseda, CA John Sanders, Sanders Furniture, San Rafel, CA Larry Wolfe, Silverado Furniture, Napa, CA. Two of the board members rotating off the board of directors received special recognition for their outstanding contributions to the association and the industry as a whole. John Sanders, Sanders Furniture, San Rafel, CA and past WHFA President ('92) Larry Wolfe, Silverado Furniture, Napa, CA. both received plaques and the gratitude of fellow members.
