Ashley Renews, Expands At The San Francisco Mart

The Ashley Companies, the San Francisco Mart’s largest exhibitor, is renewing its showroom lease until January 2006 and is expanding its square footage at the Mart by 17 percent. Ron Wanek, chairman and CEO of The Ashley Companies, voices strong support of the San Francisco Mart. "Ashley’s written orders at the San Francisco Markets grew steadily during the past decade, and we continue to be enthusiastic about the viability of this show," Wanek says. "We see an unduplicated audience of independent stores, as well as many national retailers, who make profitable visits to our San Francisco showroom." "Our commitment to the San Francisco Mart is clearly evident in the new, long-term lease we’re signing," says Wanek. Ashley has been a tenant at the Mart since 1981. "The San Francisco Mart is very pleased that Ashley is expressing its support for the Mart as its primary exhibition venue in the West", according to Mart President Michael Gennet. "We will soon announce other significant showroom lease renewals, reaffirming the furniture industry’s partnership with the Mart," remarks Gennet. The Mart continues to be fully leased and numerous current tenants have requested expansions for the upcoming Summer and Winter Markets. "We are excited about the prospects for highly successful Markets in the coming years," Gennet declares.
