Karel Exposition Management (KEM), the nation's largest producer of regional furniture & decorative accessory markets, will provide an avenue for a unique Habitat for Humanity charity drive during its upcoming South Florida Furniture and Decorative Accessory Market. The market is set for February 27, 28 and March 1 at Ft. Lauderdale's Broward County Convention Center. Along with the Florida Home Furnishings Association (FHFA), KEM is working with the Florida Home Furnishings Representatives Association (FHFRA) in an attempt to build a home in southern Florida in early summer, 1999. The fund-raising drive will generate revenue through a silent auction of which one of the items will be a limited edition Guy Harvey print or fine art poster produced and signed by the popular artist. "Working with the FHFA, FHFRA and Habitat for Humanity gives us a wonderful opportunity to give back to our deserving community, " explains KEM president Larry Karel. Craig Cleveland, president of the FHFRA, agrees, adding, "We constantly advocate the benefit of having and maintaining a comfortable home. This is our way of demonstrating that philosophy in the life of a needy family. " For more information contact KEM at E-mail: info@kemexpo.com or see their web area on furninfo.com/karel.
