La-Z-Boy Recognizes Top PerformingFurniture Galleries Stores

La-Z-Boy recently recognized the top-performing La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries® stores throughout the country. The awards were presented in Las Vegas, Nev., at a conference hosted by La-Z-Boy for its network of Furniture Galleries dealers.
The La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries network includes more than 290 stores in the United States, Canada and Europe. The 10 highest-performing free-standing proprietary stores were identified based on revenue generated from January through December 2000.

•La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Roseville, Calif., owned by Jim and Liz Reego
•La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of San Marcos, Calif., owned by Brian and Chris Comstock
•La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Englewood, Colo., owned by Art Mauldin
•La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Sterling Heights, Mich., owned by Paul Opfermann
•La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Las Vegas, Nev. (Rainbow Boulevard location), owned by Steve Hueftle
•La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Fairfax, Va., managed by Roy Couch

Additionally, the three top-performing La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores in the small market category were honored. The three recognized are:

• La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Fort Collins, Colo., owned by Brett Allen and Ken Knipp
• La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Springfield, Ill., owned by Sande Hilst

La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores are made up of multiple galleries, each representing its own category of La-Z-Boy furniture. The stores feature fully accessorized room vignettes in four major galleries, including: a Living Room Gallery, with stationary sofas, loveseats and chairs in every style category from traditional to contemporary; a Family Room Gallery, showcasing motion sofas and loveseats, sofa beds and reclining chairs; a Leather Gallery, presenting an impressive array of leather finishes, textures, styles and colors available from La-Z-Boy; and a Recliner Gallery that displays the full range of world famous La-Z-Boy reclining chairs.
These stores also feature complete design centers, including the La-Z-Boy Screen Test® video catalog system that allows customers the opportunity to view any La-Z-Boy product in their choice of fabrics before they buy. In addition, all sales associates are graduates of the La-Z-Boy Design Institute, a course that stresses the fundamentals of coordinating fabrics and styles.
