Kimball Home has undergone significant changes during the past year. In this short span of time, the Indiana manufacturer has hired eight sales reps and introduced five collections of residential furniture, including a new veneered product sub-brand, Kimball Home Classics. So it stands to reason that the company would need more people at the corporate level to manage all the details that come with this growth.
The latest additions to the Kimball Home family are Product Engineer Grover Miller and Assistant Purchasing Manager Jamie Kuhlman.
Miller is responsible for product development and engineering at Kimball Home. He has nearly 20 years of experience with parent corporation Kimball International, most recently serving as Product Engineer for the Office Furniture division. Among other accomplishments, he developed new products in the arenas of Casegoods, Systems and Seating, and established a woodworking and model building area for the Kimball International Product Design and Research Center.
Before coming to Kimball International, he worked at the Indiana Michigan Power Plant in Rockport, IN. Previous to that, he operated his own business, Miller Building and Hardware Company, in Chrisney, IN.
Miller holds degrees from Vincennes University in Jasper, IN and Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, KY.
Kuhlman also has a history with Kimball International.
Beginning in 1994, she served the corporation in various roles, most recently as Product and Demand Management Assistant. Her duties included generating, tracking and archiving purchase orders, maintaining model number data and integrity, and keeping track of inventory levels.
Previous to joining the Kimball International, Kuhlman worked for ARC/Comarco Corporation in Bloomfield, IN.
She holds two degrees from Vincennes University in Jasper, IN.
"We are so pleased to welcome these two professionals to our team," says Robert Cribbs, general manager at Kimball Home. "A company is only as good as its employees, and we put a lot of time and energy into finding the right person for each position. We are known for the high quality of our furniture, and we realize that it begins and ends with the human factor."
