From South of the border and across the ocean, manufacturers, buyers and designers traveled from far and wide to the Las Vegas Furniture and Accessory Market held on May 15-17. Karel Exposition Management, the nation's largest producer of regional furniture and decorative accessory market, hosted more than 400 exhibitors, many from foreign nations, at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. Companies from all over the world, including London and Mexico, displayed their furniture and accessories at the show. The expo also received coverage from German press and had buyers from Israel. The companies provide buyers and designers with many design options, both traditional and modern, which gives customers a greater selection to chose from when purchasing home furnishing. "We realized the varied needs in this region and met the demands with this market," said Larry Karel, owner of KEM. "The furniture and accessories that international companies display gives buyers many different avenues to approach." The Mexican state of Chihuahua sent representatives to the expo to increase sales with U.S. markets. The government provides funding to companies within its state that attempt to get exposure and new accounts. KEM shows take place throughout the year.
