Western Home Furnishings Association Expands Commercial Fuel Program

The Western Home Furnishings Association announced the expansion of it's commercial fueling program to include the entire western region of the United States. Western Home Furnishings Association (WHFA) is teamed with Metrofueling / Pacific Pride Commercial Fueling to provide a commercial fuel program which utilizes a vast network of computerized, unmanned stations, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Members are able to fuel their delivery vehicles at over 500 locations in 9 of 10 WHFA!s western states and over 1,400 facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Dave Lane, WHFA Executive Director said, "The commercial fuel program was originally developed in the Northwest U.S. and proved very beneficial to our members in that area. The success of that program led to this tremendous expansion into all the western states that WHFA serves." This member-only service allows for faster fueling times, greater cost control and a higher level of accountability for all fueling needs. The fuel stations utilize a driver-specific ATM card that records the driver and vehicle's identification, time and location of fueling, type of product, unit price and quantity purchased. This information is provided to the members in a comprehensive statement which allows for simplified bookkeeping and greater security. Tom Flomer of Flomer Furniture and Appliance, Woodburn OR., a WHFA member, states, "The best part of this program is the accuracy of reporting for each individual truck. One aspect of my report is the miles per gallon tracking and from that I'm able to tell if my trucks are running correctly, or if my drivers are driving to fast. These reports also helped me identify a driver using the card for personal use. I can't say enough about this program. If you have delivery trucks then you need to use this program."
