Schweiger Furniture will introduce the refreshingly rustic Mountain Retreat collection, in 2003. The Mountain Retreat group, with its rustic, hunting lodge look, is accented with antiqued copper and simple mountain carvings. It features decorative leaded glass tops on its tables and occasional pieces, a subtle blending of new and old. The line incorporates correlating patterns in fabrics, lamps and accessories as well.
In addition to the line’s masculine sofa, cowboy-styled accent chair and occasional tables, Mountain Retreat includes a dramatic étagère and an impressive television stand -- all in keeping with Schweiger’s “whole room” concept, which enables a consumer to easily decorate an entire room.
The timeless and quintessentially American Arts & Crafts and Mission styles, both of which have seen a surge of renewed popularity by American consumers, is the inspiration for Schweiger Furniture Co.’s new Prescott collection.
The Prescott collection, which includes a sofa, loveseat, chair and ottoman, features a classic Mission leg design and rail trim, but with fully upholstered arms and bolsters for a fresh look that works in contemporary or traditional home settings.
Prescott offers a great deal of merchandising flexibility in that its upholstery coordinates with the distinctive oak tables and accent pieces from Schweiger’s highly successful Prairie line, in what the company calls its “Whole Room Concept,” that enables a consumer to easily decorate an entire room.
Established in 1899, Schweiger is a leading manufacturer of quality, popular-priced upholstery for the American home. It’s comprehensive upholstery collections include traditional, contemporary and transitional styles in sofas, loveseats, chairs, sectionals, are all crafted in its home state of Wisconsin. Schweiger also offers a growing collection of imported, coordinating tables and other case goods. The company’s fashion forward direction and “whole room” merchandising has helped the company enjoy double-digit growth in 2001 and a tremendous 40% volume growth in 2002.
