AFMA Scholarship Program Accepting Applications

The Suppliers Division of the American Furniture Manufacturers Association is now accepting applications for its annual scholarship program, offered to the children of regular, full-time employees of AFMA member companies. The program, which is in its fourth year, awards six scholarships valued at $2,000 each. The one-year scholarships, based on financial need and merit of the student, are awarded to students 21 or under who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in a four-year college or university, a junior or community college or a vocational or technical school. The awards are made on behalf of the Suppliers Division Scholarship Program and are issued in two equal installments in June and December of the year in which the award is granted. Checks are made payable to the educational institution. The deadline for applications is Jan. 31, 2003. Recipients will be announced in April.
