AFMA Annual Meeting To Focus On Creating Value High Point, NC

How can the furniture manufacturing industry create more value for its customers? This is the focus of the 1998 AFMA Annual Meeting - Building A World Class Industry By Creating Value. The meeting will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Naples, Florida from November 11-14 Business sessions will be led by an all-star group of business leaders from the furniture industry and various other industries. Presentations will be made from furniture industry veterans Jerry Birnbach of Rowe Furniture Corporation, Paul Fulton of Bassett Furniture Industries, and AFMA President Ed Gerken of Norwalk Furniture. From outside the furniture industry, timely presentations will be made by Brian Bennett of The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, Pat Williams of the NBA's Orlando Magic, Mark Gambill of Wheat First Union and Kay Johnson of Johnson West Associates. The sessions will focus on creating more value for customers, investors and employees. In addition to the power-packed business sessions, attendees will enjoy a tour of the new, state-of-the-art Robb & Stucky retail store in Naples. Guests will also enjoy the many amenities offered by The Naples RitzCarlton, the venue for the event. The hotel was recently named by Travel & Leisure magazine as the number one hotel in the United States, and number four in the world (September 1998).
