RMS TITANIC, INC. (OTC BB: SOST), the legal salvor- in-possession and guardian of the wreck of the Titanic. announced today that it will partner with Classic Leather, Inc. to offer reproduction furniture from the White Star Line's "Olympic Class" liner, the Titanic (1912). The furniture line, RMS TITANIC ARTIFACT COLLECTION, will be introduced at Classic Leather. Inc.'s High Point, North Carolina showroom on April 23. 1998. during the International Home Furnishings Market. The exclusive line will be marketed in a limited distribution format through Classic Leather, Inc.'s Statesville Chair division.
The Titanic was the second ship in the "Olympic Class" of luxury liners, that included Olympic (1911), Titanic (1912) and Britannic (1914). "The White Star Line of cruise ships was known for providing all the amenities of an elegant home while at sea." Tommy Shores Jr.. President of Classic Leather., Inc., said. John P. Eaton and Charles A. Haas, authors of several books and authorities on the Titanic, will be advising Classic Leather. Inc. on the genuine integrity of this collection. Following production, each piece will receive a plate signifying its authenticity. RMS TITANIC ARTIFACT COLLECTION'S initial introduction will include bedroom furnishings from a first class stateroom and furnishings from a first class dining room and lounge / smoking room. Various other furniture will be included, bringing the total number of pieces introduced at the April Market to twenty. Classic Leather. Inc. plans to add to the RMS TITANIC ARTIFACT COLLECTION at the subsequent October 1998 and April 1999 Home Furnishings Markets.
