GERS Retail Systems will feature some of its recent product enhancements to its open systems solutions computer software at the International Home Furnishings Market (IHFM), April 23 to May 1, in High Point, North Carolina.
The system features being shown include:
Serial Number Tracking, which offers retailers pinpoint accuracy, improves handling of inventory and sales processing by scanning and tracking items using individual electronic serial numbers.
Credit Card Authorization provides retailers with real-time, online communications with a credit card authorization service for immediate authorization and settlement at the point of sale.
Automated Purchase Order Generation/Replenishment creates purchase orders quickly and efficiently by processing and presenting the recommended order quantities to an editable screen form prior to initializing the purchase order generation process, facilitating improved delivery time for custom order and reducing data entry errors.
Written Business Query offers accurate up-to-the-minute sales figure reporting that is available at any time. Retailers have the option to rank salespeople by store or store group, sales dollars, gross margin dollars, gross margin percent, warranty volume or warranty percentage. Written Business Query is equipped to print specified fields and cuts down research time for retailers who are interested in tracking their operation's performance.
On-Screen Cash Drawer Balancing provides an online closeout screen for cashiers to capture beginning cash drawer status, including cash, checks, bankcards and over/shorts. Amounts are automatically posted to the General Ledger. Retailers will benefit from tighter cash management, reduction in the work required to balance each cash drawer, and detailed reporting for research discrepancies.
Radio Frequency Warehousing is a state-of-the-art solution that allows retailers to log and locate inventory instantly with automated directed picking, and to operate their warehouse with fewer employees and dramatically reduced stock outages from inventory misplacement.
Custom Order Entry, which provides automation at every stage of the special order process, allows retailers to create unique made-to-order sales using pre-defined valid configurations or to build configurations on the fly. Purchase orders are automatically generated, which eliminates duplication and re-keying errors.
Attending the show is a great way to generate excitement with prospects for GERS' products. "I personally look forward to going to the IHFM as it is a tremendous opportunity for GERS to network with retailers to focus our efforts on their needs," said Dennis Conforto, GERS Vice President. "The show gets bigger and better each year so we're able to meet so many new retailers."
