Storis Announces Expansion Plans With Move To New Corporate Offices

STORIS Management Systems, a supplier of turnkey and business systems for furniture, appliance, and electronics retailers announced today that they are moving their Parsippany corporate headquarters to a larger and more centrally located facility in the same town. The move was precipitated by the company's growth during the past few years, as well as its projected continued growth into the next millennium. The new office space represents a 53% increase in square footage from 13,800 sq. ft. to 21,100 sq. ft. Included in the facility is a customer center for training and strategic planning. This area will include a conference center, state the art classroom facilities, and a customer lounge and cafeteria. The move will take place in the early part of 1999. STORIS has added two CBT (Customer Based Training) production studios in the new building as they move all their documentation to the CBT format. This technology facilitates self-training via CD-ROM with both voice and actual visual step by step instruction. STORIS will also move their Internet Web facilities from their outside WEB provider into the new data center to enhance their Web operations and Web-product development and sales capabilities. The new facility, located at 300 Littleton Road/Route 202, is within easy access to Routes 80 and 287 and only 25 minutes from Newark International Airport. In addition, during the last year STORIS has opened an R&D office in Florida and an upgrade office in Philadelphia. Other satellite offices are located in Warwick, RI, Tampa, FL, Wilmington, DE, Scranton, PA and Coronado, CA. STORIS Management Systems, an IBM Business partner, provides computer turnkey solutions for furniture, appliance and electronic retailers. Over 250 retailers, including 19 of the TOP 100, have installed STORIS systems in the past decade.
