The California Furniture Manufacturers Association (CFMA) will be sponsoring their Annual President's Day fund-raiser Golf Tournament for 1999. The event will be held on Monday, February 15, 1999, at Los Angeles Royal Vista Golf Course in Walnut, California.
The tournament, which sold out in 1998 for the third year in a row, will have a new venue to accommodate more golfers. The 1999 tournament will have a new starting time of 10:00 AM with a shotgun start so that everyone will finish in daylight. The format will be individual play with three flights for men and one for women. Golfers will compete for wonderful prizes including a new car for a lucky player who makes a hole-in-one on the selected hole. Net and Gross Trophies will be awarded in each of the 4 flights and winners of the longest drives and "closest to the pins" will also receive special awards. Tee prizes, including CFMA golf shirts and many other accessories, will be given to all the contestants. Dinner and a live auction will follow the tournament. Tommy Davis, the former Los Angeles Dodgers great, will again be the Master of Ceremonies.
"We expect another fantastic day for everyone," Larry Parnell, President of Oakwood Interiors and CFMA President and Tournament Chairman said. "Sponsorship was up again last year. This is obviously a very popular event."
