Babies "R" Us, Oxnard, Wins Baby Safety Month Award

Babies "R" Us, Oxnard, CA, was awarded the Annual JPMA Baby Safety Month Award, for its outstanding promotion of baby safety awareness during September, announced George Harris, Chairman of the Juvenile Product Manufacturers Association (JPMA). "Babies 'R' Us, Oxnard did a fantastic job promoting baby safety and educating consumers on the safe use of juvenile products," said Harris. "JPMA received entries from many excellent Baby Safety Month promotions, but Babies "R" Us, Oxnard stood out as the clear winner for 1998." Babies "R" Us, Oxnard, hosted a month-long baby safety promotion that included vendors from community organizations and weekend seminars for new and expectant parents on everything from car seat safety checks to home safety tips. Baby Safety Month is sponsored every September by the JPMA. The month long observance is designed to increase consumer awareness of the safe use and selection of juvenile products. Retailers across the country were encouraged to hold in-store promotions and were provided with free baby safety brochures to distribute to their customers.
