Once again, DuPont Corian® is surfacing in surprising places -- this time it's the foyer. The Cirrus Table, created by Hydra Designs Inc., is a high-end contemporary foyer table made primarily with DuPont Corian®. Formed into sweeping, crescent-shaped parts, Corian® was used to create both the elegant table base and the smooth, rectangular top of the Cirrus Table. A sheet of stainless steel that bends gracefully into a "U-shaped" curve is joined to the Corian® legs. Designer Bill Brissett elected to use DuPont Corian® to create the Cirrus Table because Corian® "provides a luminescence unlike any other material. It conveys perfectly the openness and light, airy feeling that inspired the Cirrus name." The Cirrus Table recently highlighted in Saks Fifth Avenue's window display during the busy Fourth of July holiday shopping period.
